Jessica's classes concentrate on linking the movement of the physical practice with the energy of the breath. She believes students benefit the most when the right balance between challenge/intensity and relaxation/release is achieved and supported by great music to set the tone accordingly. Her goal is to give students an experience where they can be transported from the craziness of their daily lives into a grounded, calm space that allows them to deeply focus on their body and breath for the duration of the class. In keeping concentrated awareness of body alignment and breath control, her hope is for students to become more present and in tune with themselves, ultimately cultivating a lasting state of mindfulness and peace.
Pam's love of fitness, anatomy, and a healthy lifestyle led her to yoga over 20 years ago. Upon receiving her master's in Exercise Physiology, Pam worked in the health industry for years before opening Healing Power Yoga in 1999. She sold the studio in 2006 and now continues to teach as well as co-lead a 200 hr teacher training program. Pam's classes are a blend of the power of the breath and the power of the physical practice with a focus on safety.
After four recurrences of thyroid cancer and being diagnosed with a benign brain tumor, yoga helps Pam to stay focused on what's really important in life. Her husband rarely misses a class...now she's just waiting for her two boys to get hooked.
