When Stephie stepped on her mat over a decade ago, she was simply looking for a great cardio workout. As her practice grew, yoga became more about balancing her workouts with an emphasis on connecting the mind and body. This magical transformation that has defined Stephie’s practice enables her to combine her unique techniques with the workout she also enjoys. Her teaching reflects an emphasis on alignment, the powerful link between breath and movement and the importance of the dynamic energy used to achieve ones individual goals.( Stephie strives to help her students find a better version of oneself with each growing practice. ) Stephie’s passion for yoga is continually reflected in her teachings that were completed through her 200 hour training with the House of Shanti. Stephie is certified through Yoga Alliance and looks forward to helping her students achieve their individual goals as she follows her passion for teaching.
This class will guide you in a meditative flow incorporating sun salutations and variations of standing poses linked together. Class will focus on standing asanas, balance poses, arm balances and core followed by deep opening asanas. Attention on breath and alignment is incorporated along with sequencing designed to help create strength and flexibility in body and mind. Understanding of the sun salutations and how to modify poses on your own is important. Room is heated between 92-95 degrees.
